Mobile ultrasound at home
Ultrasound diagnostics with a portable device in your home — the same procedure, without the trip to the clinic.
Portable ultrasound equipment allows diagnostics to be performed where the patient is. It is intended for people whose condition, mobility, or age makes reaching the clinic difficult.
At home, an ultrasound of the heart, the blood vessels, or the abdominal organs can be performed — depending on what the situation calls for. The examination follows the same procedure as at the clinic: probe, gel, and live imaging, painless and without radiation.
The findings are interpreted immediately and a recommendation is given — whether follow-up at home is enough, whether further investigation is needed, or whether a referral is appropriate. Which examination is needed is agreed when booking, so that the right equipment is brought along.

Preparation
Preparation depends on the type of examination and will be explained when you book: an abdominal ultrasound requires 6–8 hours without food, and a bladder scan requires a full bladder. A heart ultrasound needs no special preparation. Provide somewhere the patient can lie down, space on their left side, and access to a power socket.
